Pat Norton

Pat Norton defines the term, “self made”. As a former UCLA football player, he broke the mold, earning three degrees before graduation.

Once his career ended, he cut his teeth at one of the world’s biggest insurance carriers, taking one of their divisions from $15m to hundreds of millions in revenue – in just 14 months.

From there, he started Norton Consulting to build highly profitable insurance practices for RIA’s, wealth managers and insurance brokers, helping to achieve accelerated revenue growth and scale. 

True to the motto from his playing days, “Work harder than everyone else, and play fast”, Pat is well respected for his authenticity, accountability and ability to quickly identify and solve problems.

Pete Davis

Pete Davis combines multiple disciplines to bring a diverse background to Newport Ventures, 

He oversees all of Newport Ventures’ operations, dealflow and partnerships. He is also responsible for our domestic and global strategies and vetting of all deals and business opportunities.

Over the past ten years, he’s worked with numerous companies, developing their business models, pitching their deals and helping them to raise capital.

Pete is an experienced  market professional. He has traded futures & currencies and built multiple trading, brokerage and exchange platforms.

Pete’s distinct mix of skill sets and experience allows him to evaluate deals and business opportunities from a truly unique perspective, combining a designer’s sensibility with an investor’s focus on the bottom line.

Dave manages many of Newport Ventures’ global relationships. A former NFL player, he’s spent his life living, working and networking around the globe.

With his diverse background and a wide network, he has built successful businesses across a wide number of verticals, including health and wellness, cannabis, entertainment, real estate and international finance.

A major part of our Private Asset, Platinum and Performance Platforms, Dave is also an accomplished actor, film producer and martial artist, a former currency trader and speaks fluent Mandarin.

Natalye Lopez

Bringing over a decade of experience in commercial finance, credit, banking and mortgage lending, Natalye manages Newport Ventures’ tax, credit and finance practice.

She helps NVG clients to fund and grow their companies using a broad range of tax programs, mortgage programs and sophisticated credit and debt facilities.

Bilingual in both English and Spanish, Natalye has deep roots in the Latino community. She is a Board Member of the non-profit Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council (IEHLC), which is dedicated to work in the areas of Business, Education & Public Policy

Bret Lockett

Bret manages many of Newport Ventures’ strategic relationships and resources. As one of our key team members, he is responsible for generating dealflow, new relationships and business opportunities.

A former NFL player, Bret’s background is multifaceted, from the NFL locker room to the business board room.

As an entrepreneur, Bret has been an investor and a member of the executive team for several companies, including his partnership with private aviation company “M2Jets,” a full service jet charter and sales company..

Al Piper

Al runs NVG’s Kennected platform – our automated LinkedIn sales system. He has built his career helping business professionals and executives to bring in more leads, build their books of business and grow their revenues.

For over 20 years, Al has built client rosters for some of the most respected insurance and financial companies in the country. During that time, he grew his own HNW client rosters from scratch and built his own books of wealth management, insurance and tax & estate planning.

He works with insurance professionals, entrepreneurs, brokers and advisors to help them significantly increase their flow of qualified leads and build their centers of influence – in far less time than before.

We have a simple philosophy: the more money you make, the more money we make. By incentivizing each partner, we’re able to build in maximum upside and structure win-win deals.

For engagements with significant longer-term potential, we are open to negotiating equity stakes, with either flat percentages or escalators.

For capital raises, private placements, M&A and other broker-related transactions. Commission structures are based on the nature and size of the deal.
